change some of them. for example, for HTML editor i only
have wordpad foe a choice although i do have word2000 in
my hard drive. also, my email options are only outlook
express and AOl. my newsgroups options is only outlook
express. is there to change those options or add more to
internet properties? my friend has the same dell

It also depends on what programs are installed. Word will create HTML files,
but its not an HTML editor, so it does't register itself as one. Outlook
and other e-mail programs, add themselves to these lists. If you don't have
those programs, they won't be listed.
