I am having problem every time I click on the control panel and click on the
fonts folder for instance I most always get sent back to my start screen.

does this just happen when you go into the control panel and try to open a
folder , or does this happen when you try to open any other folders? and when
you say start screen, do the computer reboot? does it log you off? does it go
back to the desktop?

It just seem to happen when I click on control panel then pick a file.
Sometimes its when I click on control panel it will go back to the start.

Does not reboot. When I click on the "font file" for instance my incons
dissappear for a second and I am back to the start screen.

Also if click My Picture, My Music or My Documents everything works fine. I
just have problems when I click on the Control Panel/

not sure if this is it but we can try

goto start > run > type in regedit > then goto
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\open\command
what is the value data?

This is getting pretty deep for me. But under data it says "%1 "*

is it just the fonts folder in the control panel or is it any icon in the
control panel?

try going to: start > run > type in: rundll32.exe
shell32.dll,Control_FillCache_RunDLL

you can also try going to: start > run > type in: sfc /scannow
