Control Panel (slight return)

Hi

Another problem with control panel, in fact all functions
of the Start panel. Whenever I try to use any of them
they either blink on then disappear, or I get a windows
explorer error report. I can still get into word files
and things just not through Start panel, only through
shortcuts on my desktop.

I have run the 'Check your PC for infection' from the
Microsoft website and apparently don't have Sasser. Does
anybody know what this is and what to do?

I now have a similar problem. Did you have any joy in rectifying. I am completely computer illiterate so I'm afraid I can't help you but this is now becomong a pain
