Control Panel problems

Hi!

When trying to open the control panel in W2000 I get the
message: Explorer.exe has generated a error and will be
shut down by Windows. There is no way to open the control
panel, but I can open the different .cpl files when i
doubbleclick them.
Is there anyone that can help me out?

I got exactly this problem with this symptom today, I can
open .cpl but I get the message "Explorer.exe has
generated a error and will be shut down by Windows"

any help?

Hallo

I resolved my case ....

It was the Nvidia driver downloaded with microsoft update,
I removed all Nvidia, and installed from the original CD,
and everything OK.

Well all this after REINSTALLING all Win 2000, 3 hours
job, but it was the Nvidia driver from MS "W Update"
