Control Panel Error!! Consistent error when workign with CP, need

Lately, anytime I am accessing my control panel (have my Windows list my
control panel options from the start bar), or whenever I open a specific
control panel category, I receive the following message:

"An error occurred while Windows was working with the Control Panel file
C:\WINDOWS\system32\netsetup.cpl."

Can anyone specificy for me what's going on with this error? Even though
this message comes up consistently when I'm in the CP, it still functions
fine...? Just a bad or corrupt file? How can I rememdy this?

Thank you in advance!

My guess is that the file you're talking about likely affects either the
Internet Options menu or the Network connections menu. My best
recommendation is to find a replacement of the specified file, possibly on
the setup disc (if not there are places online that may have that file). I
couldn't find the file you mentioned on my own computer (the closest I fiund
was netsetup.exe). Before you replace the existing file make a backup copy of
the existing file in an easy-to-access place, then reboot immediatly after
overwriting the original. Hope that helps.
