Control line length in a form

I need to know how to make a Word form, and after adding a text field, keep
the return (enter) key from allowing additional lines to the form. I want a
return (enter) to force the entry to the next form field. Is this possible?

Yes, it is possible.

Note, this changes the action of the Enter key throughout the form. Another
option is to simply limit the size of the entry area by putting it in a
restricted-size table cell or frame. What you are talking about is what Word
