Control events in Outlook 2007 custom forms/regions

I'm looking to confirm or disprove something. It seems that in Outlook
2007, even though you can use the form designer to design existing
regions or create new ones, you cannot create event handlers for the
forms or for the controls on the forms in the VBA editor. If this is
the case then all customization that requires more than just dropping a
control on a form must be done using VSTO.

Is this correct, or am I missing something? If you can wire up events
to forms and controls please point me to an example of how this is
done.

Thanks

You don't have to use VSTO, but you do have to use a COM addin. I've used
VSTO, VB.NET, C# and VB6 to do it, but you can't from VBA or the VBScript in
form code.
