Continual repagination

I have a large document (265 pages) that automatically repaginates from
beginning to end continually while I'm working on it, or printing even as
little as one page. I suspect it's corrupt somehow, but I've never seen a
document do this. Any thoughts?

Yes, continual repagination is a symptom of document corruption. See
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/CorruptDoc.htm for ways to try to
recover.

I work in document control and have found a number of problems from documents
that have spanned across many versions of Word. Repagination is one of the
problems, but also flickering headers. That is the best way to describe the
problem. Do you have any advice on a fix....as opposed to rewritting every
document.
