1. Use Heading styles for all of the headings (Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading
3, etc.).

2. Insert a Table of Contents field where you want the table of contents to
appear. The method depends on which version of Word you're using. In Word
2003, Insert - Reference - Index and Tables - Table of Contents tab, select
your options/choices, then click OK. In Word 2007, click the Table of
Contents tool in the References tab.
