content advisor problem Help with lockout

Purchased a used laptop computer. It works really great with one
exception. Someone that pre-owned this thing has placed a password
in the Content Advisor. I have upgraded to IE 7 hoping that would
change things. When I open IE-7 the content advisor pops-up and
request a password. I do not know what it is so it shuts down IE7
with page has been cancled. I have used the admin. password to no
avail. Where can i find the password. Cannot shut down the content
advisor as it uses the same password.
All help is appreciated

Hi Jack - Content Advisor - Go here:
http://www.pchell.com/support/contentadvisor.shtml and do what it says
and/or see here to disable it completely or toggle it:
http://osiris.978.org/~brianr/nopics-ie/

Here's the basic procedure, but refer to the link above if you need more
detail: Go to Start|Run and then enter "regedit" (without the quotes). and
then navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\
CurrentVersion\Policies\Ratings

Select the "Key" entry in the right-hand pane and
Delete it. Now go to Registry|Exit to close Regedit.

Now you'll be able to disable Content Advisor by opening IE6 and going to
Tools|Internet Options|Content. Click on "Disable". Then click on "OK" when
you're asked for a password - don't enter anything. OK out and CA is
disabled.

Alternatively, see here: http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_abc.htm under
Content Advisor under "C" for info and specialized .vbs scripts to turn it
on and off and to modify specific settings.

If you wish to restore Content Advisor to its original condition (because of
your kids) you can obtain a Microsoft program (CA-Reset.exe - 89.5K) to do
this here: http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/CA-Reset.exe
(listed on line 283) NOTE: Using CA-Reset will completely delete your
Approved List - everything starts like brand new, so consider this before
you use it. You may also wish to take a look at:
