Contacts showing as offline after email change

Hello, I changed my email address yesterday and all of my contacts are now
showing offline. I've verbally spoken to a couple of them and they say I'm
showing offline to them, with (not verified) next to my name on their lists.
I've verified my email as per the message that was sent to me, but I'm still
showing all the contacts as offline. Is there anything else I need to do? Or
how long should I wait for this to remedy itself? Any help would be
appreciated.

Also forgot to mention that as a test, I changed my login email address back
to the old one and I could see people online and they could see me. But I
switched it back to the new address and landed back on offline world. I did
go back through the verification process again after the last change and
still no results.

Greetings Sean,

It will take up to a few days to propagate your new e-mail address to your contacts.
Unfortunately I can't really anticipate what will happen now that you've changed it a few
times.

You may just need to save your list (use the Export function found in the Contacts menu),
delete your entire list and then use the Import function.

Thanks for the quick response. I'll wait it out a couple of days and then try
the import/export venture.

Hi, i had the same problem as Sean did, and tried the switchback as well.
My problem though is that changing it back the "address verification" email
never came, for both the old address and the new one. So they both now show
as not verified.

Also i tried the export-import, but all my contacts still show as offline

I am also having the same problem. I wish Microsoft made it more clear this
would happen when I changed email addresses, really poor system.
