After having to restore some mailboxes, the users are having the problem that
when they try to search for a person that is in their contact list, try and
view the contact when trying to add a address to an email by clicking the To
button or tries to view the conacts in the OAB it comes up blank, this only
happens when the user is using Outlook 2000, when they use Outlook 2003 its
fine.
And to head of the standard answer. Yes we have tried removing the OAB and
installing it back in, removing and putting back the check mark in the AOB
tab under properties for the contact list, we have tried to follow the
support article 287563, no differnece

Haven't seen it. Might try asking in an Exchange group since this may well
be an Exchange issue.

I took it to be a Outlook issue as the data is there, as we can see it in
Outlook 2003. it seems that Outlook 2003 reads the contact list differently
then outlook 2000, and that is the reason that the issue only shows up in
Outlook 2000.

If so, it's one I've never seen. Outlook issues are resolved by resetting
the Outlook Address Book Service. Moreover, the action that created it was
restoring the mailboxes, right? There's a lot more to that story, I bet.

Hello All,

I have a problem, when some user click to the group and want to see the
members of this group in outlook address book. But it also comes blank. Do
you know why they can't view the members in the group.

thanks a lot

Explain what you mean by a group. That could mean anything.
Normally one uses the Contacts Folder to view information, not the Outlook
Address Book.
