Contacts dissappear

On 11/27 there was an update for Windows Live Mail.
After installing (KB944990) my contacts dissappeared.
It has done so twice.....
I've had to restore to 11/29 twice to get my addresses
back. I turned off my auto upates and have selected the
updates available with an {"exception"} the Live Mail
update.

Anybody know what's up with this?
