contacts display bug in Outlook

Outlook XP and 2003
organising contacts in Outlook seems to need a repair a bug:
contact's full name: Smith John (last first) OK
contact's file as: Smith John (Last first) OK
display as: Smith, John ([email protected]) NOT OK

It would probably help Microsoft if you described what you find to be a bug, especially given that you can edit the display name.
