Contacts changed format?

All the contacts in my contacts folder show in the form 'Fred Smith'.

Until today, whenever I clicked on the To button when sending an email,
that's also how they appeared in the Select Recipients box.

However, today, for some inexplicable reason they now all appear as 'Smith,
Fred'! Search as I can, I can't find any setting to change this back.

Can anyone help please?

Just click on the Name heading... it cycles thru 4 different sortings...
