Contact assignment in Tasks or Appointments

Can I configure which contact addressbook of file is assigned to the contact
button at the bottom of both the Task and/or Appointment dialogue?
 
I think it always defaults to the Contacts folder in your default message
store (Exchange Server mailbox or PST file)
 
Does that mean then, that if my organization has many existing contact lists
organized for my use, I will have to bring each of the desired contacts from
how ever many lists into my personal contact store for access in my personal
Task and Calendar?
