Anyone know what the heck these two programs are doing? They are
automatically running in Task Scheduler, and are listed under
"Customer Experience Improvement Program" in Scheduler.
I disabled them of course.

These tasks are enabled when you select to join the Customer Experience
Improvement Program. Open Control Panel Problem Reports and Solutions. At
the lower/left of that dialog box, click the link for Customer Experience
Improvement Settings. This will produce a box where you can join or decline.
Be sure to click the link for "Read more about the program online" to see
the privacy statement. This component is disabled, by default.

Thanks for the info. The participation box was disabled, but I am not
happy to see that CEIP deems it necessary to log (I have 129 events
logged by Consolidator and 555 events logged by OptinNotification
since June 21, 2007) my actions FOREVER in case I DO decide to
participate. I will keep the two disabled, as they should have been as
a default.
