Consolidating OLE Object records

I have a table with an OLE Object field that is populated with MS Word
documents.

I need to be able to consolidate the contents of 1 record (the "child"
record) into another (the "master" record). I have tried a few ways, but
with no luck so far.

I suspect I need to establish 2 instances of the automation server and copy
the contents of the child record into the master record, but I'm getting
hung up populating the active document that I create with the contents of a
record (then moving it back into the record....)

Any thoughts?

David I had reccommended you try one of the Word public NG's. This is
still an Access NG.
