Connectors on ASUS A7V600-X

Hello again,

I'm putting an ASUS A7V600-X in a case that shipped without a manual. Using
the ASUS manual I see the pins for the Front Panel connectors, but they do
not coincide with what the leads are marked. My leads are as follows:

Mic IN
Mic BIAS
Ground
SPKOUT L
SPKOUT R
Return L
Return R

Where do they go on the board pins?

There are leads that I assumed were for the Front Panel USB, but they do not
resemble such at all. They are separate leads that are marked such as

+VCC
-D
+D
GRND

There are two sets of these one with '1' inside a circle and the other with
'2' inside a circle.

All of this stuff goes to my front panel and, although I've built a number
of my own machines over the years, I've never seen an arrangement like this.
I fail to see how this matches anything on the USB headers of my board.

Thanks for any help!

I have the manual. The problem is that the connectors do not match the
pinouts in it. But thanks for trying.

Thank you! I had a suspicion that the Front panel might go something like
this, but I have less connectors than pins.

In your description I have no connector for the +5VA pin, so I left that
open for now... will that work or do I need to jump something or what?

Thanks again.

Thanks again.

The function of +5VA, is to power a headphone amplifier inside
the front panel. I don't know of any computer that is equipped
with one of those, so the +5VA pin can be safely left unconnected.
Basically, +5VA is a five volt power supply, that has been
filtered to remove digital switching noise. On some motherboards,
a tiny 5V linear regulator chip is used to make that voltage.

Thanks. It seems every time I do one of these things it has something that
makes no sense in comparison to the manuals in any way shape or manner...
just don't do enough of them.

I appreciate it.
