Hi Jonnie Angel, the POP and SMTP servers are entered incorrectly, who is
your mail provider?

Steve, I believe Windows Internet Explorer is my provider. Before I got
this computer I had Outlook Express. This computer says that Outlook Express
has been replaced with Windows Mail or something to effect.

Steve, If you can tell me where on my computer to go and correct this
problem I would be greatful. I have a HP running Windows Vista Premium

Hi again, no you are getting mistaken, Internet Explorer is a program within
Windows, who do you pay for internet access?
Or what is after the @ in your email address?

No, IE is a web browser... where did you get your email address?
AOL, Yahoo, Comcast, Roadrunner, etc.

If it's Hotmail, or another webmail account, it can't be accessed with
Windows Mail.

Steve, thanks for answering. Sorry I miss understood. Bellsouth.net is my
e-mail provider.

Windows Internet Explorer is a program on your computer, not an email
provider. Your email provider is likely to be the same as your internet
provider. Who do you pay for your internet connection?

Dave, I believe that I got my email address through Yahoo. I know this sounds
stupid but I dont know a great deal about computers. I just game on them.

Tools>accounts>select your account>properties>server tab

BellSouth incoming mail server: mail.bellsouth.net
BellSouth outgoing mail server: mail.bellsouth.net

Any problem get back with error messages that WM generates.

If you want to add your Yahoo email address as a second email account,
see this:

<http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/original/mailplus/pop/pop-35.html>

It will cost you extra on the Yahoo account, though. Use their Outlook
Express instructions but under Windows Mail instead.
