Connection problem "Power surge"

When connecting my Panasonic Lumix via USB cable I get the message "Power
Surge on hub port" - "A USB device has exceeded the power limits of its hub
port"
The only choice is to remove and reset, and then the problem just occurs
again if I reconnect.

Anyone any ideas?

Is it a powered hub?
