Connection problem Between Vista and 2003

hello,

I am still having issues with my Vista Machine connecting to an 2003 server.
I know the networking is fine, I can ping, share and all the basics are
working fine. However, there must be something else, perhaps COM+ networking
permissions, RPC or some other security issue which is preventing me from
connecting.

I ran a sniffer on the box, that is how I know that all the networking
components are working OK, and we can not simply write this off as a
networking issue.

here is the error I get on the sniffer.

Hello, I have been having a similar problem and I have discovered there are a
lot of people tearing their hair out - out in the ether.

I have stumbled accross a solution to a connectivity problem I have been
having which completely solved it. I have a home network. I set it up using
my XP computer and configured the settings. It worked fine. Then I bought a
Vista machiene for my daughter and I couldn't get it to work over the network
at all. I still can't get a wireless connection but I can access the network
and internet using a CAT5 cable. I discovered pureley serendipitously (and
afte three days of trying everything I could think of that the XP machine
only supports IPv4 while the newer laptop supports IPv4 and IPv6. So I
disabled IPv6 on the lapton and hey presto! internet access.

It may be worth a try.

I already tried Disabling IPV6, the problem in not from 2003 to Vista, but
from Vista to 2003.
