Hi
I use a LAN while connected from Office and [very few times] a dial up
connection from home.
I've setup multiple POP3 accounts in outlook -
and
in "Tools" -> "Email Accounts" -> "View or change existing e-mail
accounts" -> .... -> "More Settings" -> "Connection" tab, I've chosen
"**connect using my Local Area Network**"
However, for some reason Outlook regularly fires a **dial up
connection** when trying to retrieve mail - while I am ALREADY
connected on the LAN
So I end up **not** retrieving mail from **some POP3** accounts
I've checked and re checked the setups for **these pop3** accounts
So :
- Is there a way I can disable the dial up connection totally. If yes
how ?
- are there any better solutions
- I want outlook **not** to dial up at all - even if the LAN is
temporarily down
Thanks in advance
