Connection Limit?

During the RC phase of Vista, I had issues where it was limiting my
connections to some arbitrary number (say 50). Very reminiscent of when
they released SP2 for XP. This causes severe problems for me, to the point
where if there is a fix, I probably will move to Vista soon. If there
isn't, I will never move to Vista. It's an absolute dealbreaker for me.
Has anyone else encountered this limitation and been able to work around it?
There was a guy, whose name escapes me, that wrote a patch for SP2, but I
have yet to see one for Vista.

There have been no news as of June 2006.
His patch works on Windows XP SP2 and Windows XP x64.
Nothing on Vista yet.
