Connection issue

Hi,

Recently our Terminal Service users have been disconnect
from the Session daily. We have a T1 line, and I have
follow advice from other TS user to turn Keep Alives on,
and increasing the TcpMaxDataRetransmissions value. They
seem to helps for a couple of week, then the issue come up
again.

Any suggestion? Our T1 provide said it not them, DSL
provider said it not them, the only change on the server
is we installed mozillar lately, and most people I know
doubt it was the root causing the problem.

Thanks,

This is one of the most frustrating problems with Terminal Server:
disconnects. This happens alot when using TS over the Internet. The most
likely cause for this is, a flaky Internet router or switch somewhere
between the server and client. And there is not much you can do about it. I
also have edited the registry according to this article
<http://terminal.servebeer.com/php/flaky_connections.php> - but I did not
notice any change in the quality of our connection. My only suggestion, is
to obtain some network monitoring tools and setup a monitor between the
server and client to record the quality of TCP connections, to note droped
packets, timeouts, resets, etc. Then you may be able to find the offending
router or switch and contact the service provider with your collected data
as proof.
