CONNECTION ICON DISAPPEARING (ATTEMPT 3)

My connection icon in System Tray sometimes disappears although the
connection is open and working, comes back after disconnect and reconnect.
It has happened using both dial-up and USB broadband modem. Running XP/SP1
with IE/OE 6, firewall and AV up to date and use AdAware regularly.
PC otherwise working well, just wondering what's causing it.

I don't know the answer to your problem but, I'm wondering why you ask the
