Connecting w/ port 80 on terminal server

geoff dorset

I changed the port 3389 that is used for terminal server
to 80. Doesn't work!!! It was changed in the registry to
80 or Hex 0x00000050 or 50.... Why won't it use port 80???
It uses port 1352....Lotus Notes port. It was changed
correctly on the server and when I use Remote Desktop
Connection I have to use port 1352. ???? Please advise.
Thanks

Don't use port 80! That is for http trafic. Internet. Use
one of the some other port 8080 or 6567 any thing just
stay high and it should fly.

Do you have IIS or another web service running on the server? Port 80 is
probably not the best port for terminal services since it is used for most
web traffic.
