Hi, I would like to know how I can connect to my home
computer from work. What settings should I use and how
can I do this. I have XP Pro at home and Standard XP on
one computer at work and Server 2000 on another computer.
I can connect to work using Terminal server, can I do the
same trying to conect to home. I know my IP home address.
Also I am on a cable modem and I also have Norton
Personal Firewall 2004 installed at home.
Thanks,
Chris

You should be able to connect to home by allowing remote
desktop connections by clicking properties on my computer
and checking the box under the remote tab.
Then you have to open the remote destop port in your
norton firewall (3389)remote desktop. Then at work you can
use remote desktop on your XP machine and connect to your
external home IP.

you have many options: VPN, RDC and VNC. it is better to use VPN + RDC.
