Hi,

I want to connect my Vista possessed Dell Latitude D630 to a big flatscreen
Panasonic television. Help?

When I try to connect using a 3 RCA component video cable (HD15 - 3-RCA)
through my AV receiver a flashing green image of my computer screen flickers
on and off the TV, so I know I'm close, but unfortunately that's the best I
can get...

I'm willing to go down any path to get this to work - any suggestions?

Thank you.

Firstly - has your TV got a HD15 pin VGA input - if so use it...

Otherwise what other inputs has your TV got?

The HD15 connector has 5 signals on it - RGB plus H and V Syncs.
3 x RCA gives you RGB with no Syncs - hence the unlocked flashing input.

If the TV has RGB and HV syncs on 5 x RCA then use a HD15 to 5 x RCA cable.
If not then you will need a converter box of some sort - converting HD15
(VGA) to (either) RGB with Syncs on green, S-Video, Composite video.

There is then the question whether the TV will actually display the
signal from the Laptop... Check the TV manual to see what PC resolutions
(if any) are supported.

It is possible that the best you can do is VGA to Composite (with a
box*) - this will look pretty crappy...
