connected to the internet but i can`t open page

I installed winxp pro after i added my Lan card
and my network
when i connected to the internet i see the two computer nea the windows
time
in taskbar but when i want to open a page it say

the page can`t open

my internet is dial up

what is this please help me

You put in a LAN card but your internet connection is dial-up? So
what's your LAN card connected to? If whatever your LAN card is
connected to is not connected to the internet, then you'll still need
to dial your ISP in order to see web pages on the internet.

I'm sorry, but since you didn't provide details regarding your network
and Internet setup, you can't get help. Just saying your "internet is
dial up" isn't useful. Is the computer part of a network? What type of
network? Hub, router, MS ICS? What ISP? If you are using a modem, then
why mention your "Lan card", by which I assume you mean a NIC, but who
really knows? What kind of modem? Did you install the drivers? Etc.
Post back with necessary information to get help.
