connect to modem

Dear sirs
I want to know how can I connect from C# to the modem
device
ex: I want to send some data to the modem like phone
number
How can I do that???

In the toolbox, add "Microsoft communications control" from COM components
tab.

I couldn`t find this control!!
How can I find it???

It is a ActiveX control MsComm32.ocx. It comes with Visual studio 6.0.
