Connect Same tasks to multiple contacts

How can I have five or more contacts that I want to assign the same tasks for
me to follow up on? When I tried this, when I completed a task for Contact
"A", the same task also came up as completed for Contact "B". I connected
the tasks to the contacts separately, but when one Contact task is completed
the others complete as well.

How can I connect the sames tasks to different contacts for completion at
different times?

What you're asking/trying to do doesn't make sense from a project management
standpoint - ergo - a single task having multiple completion dates. A task,
in and of itself is a discrete element with it's own start/end points.

Your description encompasses one of two scenarios (by your question -
item#2 below is likely the one you are dealing with):

#1) a master task dependant on the completion of multiple individual
sub-tasks each of which in turn would have its own completion date OR
#2) multiple individual tasks which are unique unto themselves even though
the task description may be the same for each person

i.e. "Prepare individual resume" while that may used as the identical "task
description" for each individual to which it is assigned (and who, in turn,
would logically be working only on their "own" content) is not the same
thing as "Prepare company mission statement" assigned to multiple
individuals working together to produce a single result. The "Prepare
company mission statement" <task> has only one completion date regardless
of how many people may be working on it simultaneously. To put this another
way "Prepare individual resume" = one deliverable per individual whereas
"Prepare company mission statement" = one deliverable for the "entire
assigned group" (or in your case - all the contacts attached to a single
task).

Back to your question - Outlook does not generate an individual task
item for each contact you may assign to the original task. Ergo, create
a separate task for each individual from whom you want a discrete
completion date.
