i only have 1 computer unit and my brother wants to
connect another monitor on my cpu so we could work
together at the same time using one cpu.
how can i setup 2 or more monitors that share a single
cpu? i unserstand this is possible.

You can have two monitors, but only one keyboard, one mouse, and one active
program.
Two monitors requires a special video card.
What you want to do is not possible.

Yes, it's possible to have two monitors, but it's *not* possible
for each of you to simultaneously work on the resulting setup as
if it were two computers.

What having two (or more) monitors does for you is give you more
screen real estate; it lets you keep more applications open at
once.

Actually, it is (was?) possible for multiple users to work on a single
PC, but it isn't cheap.

This is a special hardware device. A bunch of these, with
Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse can act as terminals and access a single
computer. That's a very different thing from just using dual
monitors, which is what he asked about.

One can also set up a client/server network, and effectively have
multiple users (each with his own computer) working on an
application running on the server. That too is a very different
thing from what he asked about.
