Confusing Function

I was recently asked a question by my customer to explain what was meant by
the way a function was written. I could not answer as I have not seen a
function/formula written in this manner. I'm hoping someone can give me a
hand.

Here is the formula: {=TABLE(,Q4)}

Not entierly sure, but have never used a TABLE function. Also of note, cell
referece (Q4) is blank in the workbook. For whatever reason, customer states
that the result is correct.

Help anyone?

It could be a Userdefined Function (UDF) and we would have no way of knowing
what it does. It looks as if it is array entered. Assuming it is a valid
function, find the workbook it is in, and see if you can find how it is
defined in the VBA portion of your workbook.

It's a function for "what if analysis" from the Data menu, Data>Table.

I've never used it but Max is the resident expert on this and maybe he'll
see this and chime in.

That's in a one variable data table, which is used to quickly produce
what-if-tables based on 1 variable, in sensitivity analysis. And albeit it
looks very much like an array formula, it cannot be entered as such. It has
to be set-up via the menu command: Data > Table.
