I have a feedback page at designhouseantiques.com which the information
forwards to the confirmation page; however the confirmation page does not
reset once the information is transmitted.I tried it a few times and each
time the list of items is duplicated on the confirmation page. The only way
for me to reset it is to delete the page and re-upload it.--
Frank

How did you create the page, did you use the confirmation form or fields

"and re-upload it.-- " Did you Publish? When working with FrontPage
functions that require the Server Extensions you must Publish (http
protocol) not FTP. Another thought, tave you cleared your browsers cache?

I used the confirmation form and omitted things I didn't need.I confirmed the
form properties for the page, but under options-saved fields for each box
i.e. name etc. I tried to delete the list of items to be transmitted since it
was already saved under the page field properties.however, they do not
delete. Is that the problem? Is this something which would be simplier to just
recreate the confirmation page?

A confirmation page does NOT have form fields or form properties, you have created a form.

Create new page, then Insert Menu | Web Component | Confirmation field for each field on the form.
The confirmation field must be name exactly as the form field on the form.

If I might jump in. I have a similar problem. I have an order form which
generates a confirmation screen page. Confirmation Fields are used to merge
the information from the form. After submitting the order, the customer sees
the confirmation letter which says Dear John Smith etc your order for $22.00
is confimred. This works fine in IE however in Netscape there is no merge and
the page looks like Dear [Firstname] [Lastname] etc.

Additionally, pressing submit generates an e-mail (based on my responses in
the Form Properties Box) so I get the information of what is being ordered.
Again, this works perfectly in IE but I get no e-mail in Netscape. Can you
help. Here is my order form page

http://editionsilvertrust.com/USOnlineOrderForm.htm
Thank you very much

Create a plain confirmation page with no VML graphics, etc. with just the first name and last name
confirmation fields as the only thing on the page and test in NS.

Thomas, I did as you suggested. Created a page with nothing but the first
name and last name fields, but it made no difference., Ray (DuLieberHimmel)

Ok,

I have the confirmation field being filled in OK, but I would like to
include the date the form was submitted. The date field is selected on the
saved fields tab.

What is the value I need to insert for the "Confirmation Field Properties"?

You can get the name of the field by looking at the gray code either in HTML/Code View or doing a
view source in the browser.

The reason I had you do this was so that the page didn't have any VML code which is only supported
in IE browsers under Windows. Nothing else stood out that would cause NS to not display the
confirmation page correct that I could see.

I've been searching through the gray code line in Code View and everything I
tried didn't work. View source didn't produce anything!

Try: Date

I have tried that already. Also a few others, all the while changing upper
and lower case just to be sure. (Date, date) "SaveResults" also didn't
work.

For anyone else willing to help, here is the code for the form:

onsubmit="return Validateticket_order();">

Make sure your form properties are saving the date (Form Properties Options Saved Fields)

In the Form Properties box the e-mail address I have is not in my domain but
goes to CompuServe. While this does not affect IE is it possible it might
affect the reason Netscape is not sending a e-mail. Should I use
(e-mail address removed) rather than (e-mail address removed)? Could it also be the reason no
merging is taking place?
