When you are copy files from one folder to the next it will sometimes ask..

"Confirm File Replace
Would you like to replace the existing file
Yes Yes All No Cancel"

I would like to see a choice of Rename the file

Yep, agreed, and the reason why I use ACDSee as my defacto windows explorer.
ACDSee, offers batch rename with wildcards, and during copy
will offer a choice to delete, overwrite or rename with underscore.

OK, but if you think that posting your suggestion here has any effect
on getting it changed, let me tell you that you are making the
suggestion in the wrong place.

This isn't Microsoft you're addressing. This is a peer support
newsgroup. We are all just Windows XP users here, helping each other
if and when we can. We are not Microsoft employees (not even those of
us with "Microsoft MVP" behind our names; that's an honorary title for
having provided consistently helpful advice) except for an occasional
employee who posts here unofficially on his own time.

If you want to suggest something to Microsoft, please contact them
directly. Trying here won't help you.

Ken I looked for hours trying to find a feed back or suggestions box for XP
on my laptop and on Microsoft websites I came up with only this website. Do
you have an web address to post or offer suggestions to microsoft for windows
xp?

First, note that although you getting here via a web site, it really
isn't a web site at all. It's a peer support newsgroup. Unfortunately
you are using the awful web interface to participate in this
newsgroup, and that's the slowest, clunkiest, most error-prone method
there is. Do yourself a favor and switch to a newsreader, such as
Outlook Express, which comes with Windows. See

Sorry, no I don't. Perhaps someone else here does. My point was only
that you are wasting your figurative breath making suggestions here.
