I have a normal 10/100 ethernet card that I connect to router to share files
and printers at the office(the router does not have internet access it is
merely a LAN). In addition the computer also has a 802.11g wireless NIC which
I use to connect to the internet. The problem arises when I try to have both
network cards enabled and working. If they are both connected I can network
fine on the wired network (i.e. share files and printers) however the
internet does not work, it seems to be trying to access the interet via the
wired network card rather than the wireless. If I disconnect the ethernet
cable, or disable the ethernet card the internet works almost immediately,
I'm assuming that it stops trying to access the internet via the LAN and
moves to the wireless card. Is their a method in Windows XP that enables you
to select which NIC the internet should be accessed from?
