Configure SP1 firewall from command line - impossible?

(I already posted this question some time ago, without any answers. Is this
really impossible?)

I need a way to activate and configure the Internet Connection Firewall in XP
SP1 from the command line.

I already found MS's ICFUTIL.EXE wich allows enabling it and adding
services, but it does not allow changing advanced options such as Security
Logging and ICMP options such as "Allow incoming echo requests".
I also tried scanning the registry and file system before and after changing
such settings, but apparently those settings aren't stored in the registry or
even in the file system?
Maybe this is possible by calling a .vbs script from cscript, but I have no
experience at all in vbs.

The real question is, why are you wasting your time doing anything with the
old SP1 firewall. It isn't any good and neither is the one in SP2. Well
either one is better than *no* firewall.

You're probably right, but our infallible superiors decided "this is the way
it will be". So we HAVE to implement SP1's fantastic firewall.
XP SP2 isn't even an option, as our PDC's are HP-UX AS/U servers (Advanced
Server for Unix) which aren't SP2 compatible. We're forced to support XP SP1
for at least a couple of years (in fact currently our 15000+ clients are
still running NT 4.0).

So my question remains the same: is there really no way (ANY way) to
configure SP1's firewall automatically???
