configure dns on two dc's

for my domain i installed two dc's (w2k3), each with ad-integrated dns. my
question:
should the dns on the dc point to itself or to it's partner ?

This is debateable, and everyone will have their own ideas. One tech article
mentions (if botrh DCs are on the same subnet), to point to the partner
first, then to itself. This will eliminate possible 5781 errors at boot
time, but has been corrected awhile back. Another issue if pointing to
itself is the "DNS Becomes an Island" issue. BUt that was corrected as well
long ago. If the two DCs are on different subnets, point to itself first,
then the partner.

Others will say always point to itself. If you ask me, either way will work.
Your choice. If pointed to itself first, leave it that way unless you see
boot time errors in the Event viewer saying the zone is not available yet.
