Configuration of the DNS service - what the client sees

I would like to configure a DNS service that sees inside
and outside of the LAN.

The DNS is configured with the Forwarder that includes the
IP addresses of our ISP's DNS. The computer that houses
the DNS also has it's IP DNS configuration with several
DNS addresses.

When a client workstation is set to automatically find a
DNS service, it finds DNS services from the ISP, but does
not recognize LAN domains. What is the cause of this
problem?

My theory is the client workstation is seeing the IP DNS
configuration of the DNS server, but not seeing the
Forwarder DNS Configuration of the DNS server? If this is
true can the IP DNS configuration be removed, so that the
DNS is found using the DNS Service Forwarding which would
include the LAN DNS service.

You need to reconfigure the DHCP server to give the internal DNS server's IP
address to the clients when they get their IP addresses. This is DHCP option
06.
