Hello all I am back with another entry level question, hopefully slight
easier this time. The criteria is to apply contional formatting to
group of sales peoplewho do not meet the average sales goals for th
quarter. Format them in red.

Just to see if I could get some thing to work I was able to get th
sales numbers to do this but when I try to refence their names o
format those cells I get no where.

The figures are laid out like this, G22-G26 Average cars sold pe
person G27 overall average of those, G22-G26, sales. In a seperat
column I have the names of those people who did not meet the averag
sales quota. M22-M26 for that.

Maybe it is that I do not quite understand conditional formatting bu
is there a way to highlight the names of the people who did not mak
the avg sales quota? Thanks Ja

Hi
- select cells M22:M26
- goto 'Format - Conditional Format'
- Enter the formula
=M22<$G$27
- choose a format

1. Select M22:M26.
2. Go to Format > Conditional Formatting
3. Select "Formula Is" and insert:
=$G22<$G$27
4. Press the Format button and format as desired.
5. Press OK twice.
