Conditonal Formatting more than 4 fields in Access 2002 report ERR

I have a report with 8 columns of data in, I want to apply conditional
formatting to each field so if it displays a negative value then the text
colour is red.

I can apply the formatting to 4 fields but when I try to apply the same
formatting to any more fields the field and the rest of the so far
non-conditionally formatted display #NAME? instead of the data. Once the
conditional formatting is removed from that field the data reappears.

Can I use conditional formatting on more then four fields in an Access 2002
report? is this a bug?

You don't need conditional formatting to display negative values in red. You
can simply set the Format property of the text boxes. Check Help and search
for "Format Numeric". The sample provided is:
Format: $#,##0.00[Green];($#,##0.00)[Red];"Zero";"Null"
