Hi:

I have this function:

{=SUM((DailyScan1.xls!kuhl356<0)*(DailyScan1.xls!DTC=DATE(2003,10,31))*Daily
Scan1.xls!kuhl356)}

Kuhl356 is a range that has metal usage values (negative number) and
purchased metal value ( positive numbers)
DTC is a range that has dates automatically filled with a VBA " Donated by
some body from newsgroup" that puts the date one any cell in kuhl356 range
changes!

I'm trying to let this function sum the usage (or the negative numbers) and
if they are only occured on 10/23/2003 or before, I keep getting #value!

do you know how to solve this?

Thanks!

did someone edit the formula but not array-enter it (array
enter = control/alt/enter) Try f2, then control/alt/enter.

I always use control/shift/enter. I could not get control/alt/enter to work
in Excel 97.
