I have a sheet with the categories "Investment Trust"
and "AIM" in col J. I can get the font colour to change
right across the row with these CF formulas in col J

=$J7="Investment Trust"
=$J7="AIM"

but lose the CF formatting after sorting. Is there a way
to maintain the CF after sorting?

I'm on WIN 2000 & XL 2000.

Thanks
Tim

I don't know about others, but I'm having a hard time
understanding the exact set up of the columns in your
question. Could you elaborate?

Highlight the whole column
Use the Cell value equal to Investment Trust, set the format required
Add a 2nd format
Cell value equal to AIM, set the format required
