Conditional formatting question

I want a data entry fiel on my form to have a background color when it is a
null value to alsert the user that information is required. Can't seem to
figure that out.

If that isn't possible, I'd like the associated label to be conditionally
formatted for the same reason.

Can do?

Appreciate the help!
 
Under Conditional Formatting put;

Expression Is: [NameOfYourControl] Is Null

Then choose the background color you want.
