Conditional formatting on a shared workbook

Hi All,

I have a shared spreadsheet which enables multiple users to go in and add
figures into there relevent sections. I also have there additions tracked.

But I need to add some conditional formatting however his seems to be
blanked out. I also have some text boxes in there which it doesn't let me
edit or add further text too.

Are these all the results of having the spreadsheet shared? Is there a
workaround for this?

Excel 97.

Many features, including conditional formatting, can't be added in a
shared workbook. There are details in Excel's Help, and here:

The above page is for Excel 2003, but would be similar for Excel 97.
