Hi all,

I wonder if this is possible.

I have an excel sheet which has a dropdown column. What I would like to do is
if I select, for example, 05/06 in the dropdown, I would like the following
to happen:

05/06 - Turn red
06/07 - Turn yellow
07/08 - Turn blue

Can anyone help?

I tried the usual way of stating what I wanted to be formatted yet it does
not work.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Mary.

I tried Format | Conditional Format and used:
Cell value Is equal to ="05/06" and set the colour
This worked just fine. Did you remember the = sign?
best wishes

Hi,

You are right, I forgot the = sign. After I did that, it worked great.

Thank you very much.

Mary.
