Conditional Formatting Dates calculating 10 days and 30 days from a certain date

Hi there,

I have a spreadsheet as follows:

Column A Column B Column C Column D
04/09/2007 Ann Other 14/09/2007 04/10/2007
04/09/2007 Joe Bloggs
05/09/2007 Trudy Roundwindow
05/09/2007 Duncan Disorderly
10/09/2007 Gerry Cann

What I’d like to do is:

1. Use a formula or conditional formatting to make the date appear
automatically in the Column C, calculating 10 days from the date that
appears in Column A and formatted so that it appears in Red

2. Use a formula or conditional formatting to make the date appear
automatically in the Column D, calculating 30 days from the date that
appears in Column A and formatted so that it appears in Red

I know it’s something to do with Conditional Formatting and the TODAY()
function but I’m stumped as to how to do it.

Hope I've explained this sufficiently

Any solutions please?

Doesn't sound to me like either conditional formatting or the TODAY()
function.

If you've got a date in A1, and in C1 you want a date 10 days on from there,
the formula is =A1+10. Similarly in D1 you want =A1+30.
If you want it in red, Format/ Cells, and then the Font tab.

from your write up what you would need to to do is in c1 enter = A1+10
in D1 = A1+30
format both as red font. copy andd paste down

If you want them to only show up when something happens, we need more
information as to what triggers the show up.
