Hello,

I am currently running Excel 2002, and I am creating a table where each column has a different CF. The CFs are simple and are formatted as follows:

Condition 1: Cell Value is not between 6 and 23, shade Orange.

OR

Condition 1: Cell Value is less that 10, shade Red.
Condition 2: Cell Value is not between 20 and 30, shade Orange.

What I would like is for blank cells to not have any shading and stay white.For some reason this is occurring in some of my columns, but not all of them. To my knowledge all the columns have similar formatting, so I don't understand why some of the columns have unshaded blank cells and others have Condition 1 shaded blanks.

Please help, and please keep it simple, I am a novice at this.

Thank you,
Michelle

Hi,

You are probably getting shading becuase of your first condition

Not between 6 and 23 = Orange

have you considered putting in a first condition

=if(Len(cell)>0, [then do your conditions] , [else do no formating])

Steve=True
