CONCATENATE REFUSES TO COMPUTE

S

stigarne

After inserting a column in an excel sheet with appr 500 rows and inserting
"=CONCATENATE("textstring";E2)" into F2 the function refuses to compute. The
content of the cell equals the inserted expression. Calcuate set to NOW.
Testing with a blank sheet CONCATENATE works as expected. I use Excel 2007
running XPPsp2.

Ideas ANYONE?

If you are using a US version of Excel, the semicolon should be a comma in
your formula.

Could be maybe your Calculations is set to Manual?

Likely the cell was preformatted for text, and so consideres the contents to
be a string instead of an expression.
